Trouble

These two were pure trouble the past few days...
Take and eye off them for half a second and they were off....
Colt pushed Jimmy all around the kitchen
They loved playing with the fridge farm magnets.
Occasionally the game will sing and they both would dance and shake there little diaper booties
Always on the go, chasing one another!

Oh doesn't this look so comfortable?? Kids amaze me in some of the positions they wind up in while they are asleep.

There he goes!

BJ and Colt riding on Pakka Bill's Harley
BJ was pretty excited to ride Bill's bike. I wasn't so excited since it was BJ's first time and he was riding all the way to Ephrata on it.
I think he was a tad bit nervous, notice he is dragging his feet. He did that the whole way out of the driveway

He made it safely and had a blast, but i don't think my heart can handle him going on another ride for awhile!!!

Wedding

My sister is MARRIED!!! It was an absolutely perfect day! I don't think it could have been any better! I am so happy that she has found such an amazing man to spend the rest of her life with!! Of course I forgot my camera, so these are just a few that I have had people send to me.

Cousins Coy and Blayce stopped in the other day to say hello....

And Coy had some trouble decided where to sit....
Apparently Colts a good spot to take a little rest : )

The pictures don't show it very well, but Colt found it pretty funny!

Just a few randoms of the little man....

Another try....

After a few weeks of trial and error with baby food, we finally got something that Colt enjoyed for more than just a few days. Everything we "thought" he liked only lasted about two days of liking then he would gag and almost make himself sick over pretty much everything. Since day one of testing out baby food he has ate everyday rice cereal with apple juice, not water. I think the picture is proof that he liked it just a little bit!!
Bath time!
All clean, and apparently still hungry...
Less than two minutes after this picture he was down for the count!!

Since I've been back to work, life has been a little on the crazy side, and LOTS of things are being neglected... Including our blog. So here is a little update on the Fekkes fam. BJ and I managed to get a day away and night from the little man. It was an absolute blast! We went to Seattle with BJ's brother and his wife. Went to a Mariners game, to the Pikes Place Market, to a wonderful restaurant, and then to a Seattle Sounders soccer game! BJ thought I was going to be the nervous wreck without our wingman, but let me inform you that BJ was the one that made all the phone calls to his mom. Colt is loving going to Ambers house, and we LOVE that we are taking him there. She is amazing, her kids are amazing, the whole situation is AMAZING. We could not be happier with how our life has come together. For mothers day Amber made me an ornament to hang on the wall of Colts handprints. It definitely was a tear jerker. Her son Keegan also made me some delicious cookies! Mothers day was great, we got to play outside and watch BJ play soccer. He played awesome too!! I was really proud of him, and Im sure Colt was as well. Then we were off to BJ's brother and sister-in-laws for a family BBQ!
It also was wonderful: )

Colt had his 6month well baby check and did awesome. Very little tears and really dirty look to the nurse. He now weighs 17lbs and 11oz and is 27 and 1/2 inches long. His growth is right on track. We started giving him baby food about 2wks ago. He has only tried three things and seems to like two of the three. Bananas, applesauce, and not really into squash. He is rolling over like crazy too. He is such a happy little man, we are SO LUCKY!!

The past four weeks have been simply CRAZY at our household. I'll try to keep this short and sweet.

Colt: Our poor little man has been battling what we thought was a cold, for over 2 months. He has been in and out of the doctors since his debut into this world for sounding "funny". He always had a strange rattle to him. Around 3 and 1/2 months old it became really bad. Constantly coughing and spitting up. Up all night crying, which we were NOT used to since we have been way to lucky with his great sleeping patterns. They diagnosed him with allergies first, and no meds help. Then it was bronchitis, and also the nebulizer never worked. Then he was off to Yakima for testing for cystic fibrosis. They came back negative. He was then put on an acid reflux med, and by golly the next day he sounded NORMAL. He is now getting his first tooth!!! We can see and feel it coming, and apparently so can he. He has been a little on the cranky side. But,  I think he is handling it pretty well. Since the weather has gotten really warm, colt and I have been cruising around in the stroller a lot more and he really enjoys it. We have been walking down the feed alley and all the cows come up to greet us and Colt apparently finds that humorous.

Mama: After a lot of discussion, I decided to go back to work part-time. It has been great so far. I really enjoy what Im doing there. Colt is going to daycare a few hours a day and seems to be doing really well. We really like where he is going, they are GREAT!!! There are only 4 kids total there and two happen to be her own.

Daddy: BJ.... Where to start!? He is just plain BUSY these days!! Soccer is in full swing and he has now picked up basketball. We look forward to Sundays when he plays. Its a family affair to go support him. At the farm things are finally drying up so he can start spring cleaning. Since Im working afternoons and am off about 6, BJ gets to pick Colt up from Ambers. I think he is pretty proud to have that responsibility.

I guess it doesn't seem to crazy, but it sure feels like it has been!!

Just a few...

Just a few randoms from the past few days...

BJ wants so badly for this husky hat to fit Colt... I think we've got a ways to go daddy!!

Snack time!!! Blayce is saying "Yayyy!!!" and clapping! The boys, weren't quite as excited.
Cousin Avery came over for the weekend, she is practicing holding a baby so she will be a pro when her brother/sister comes in a few more months! She wasn't so sure about it...
It all started with just Avery in the crib. Avery invited cousin BJ into the crib. Blayce wanted Uncle BJ and Coy wasn't going to miss out on whatever Blayce was into. They all were in and I needed someone to hold Colt while I got the camera!!

Life's little things...

Its the little things that mean the most in life.....

Colts new thing lately has been to take out his binkie, hold onto it about half way in/out of his mouth and talk. But tonight he some how managed to get it onto his face. When I finally noticed, I couldn't help but laugh. He was crossed eyed and chattin away. It was pretty priceless. I wish BJ could have been here to get a good laugh in with me.

Here comes dad!
BJ's so proud of his little boy!! And Im so proud that they are BOTH mine!! I love my boys!
Okay mom if you'd get out and stop already with the pictures we could leave!
There they GO!!!!

Height: 25 and 3/4 inches

Baby to a BIG boy!

BJ gave Colt his first, long over-due, haircut tonight!! It was so cute to watch. Colt LOVED it!!! He thought the vibration of the clippers was just too funny! He giggled the whole time. He went from looking like our little baby to such a big boy! We always said he looked like my dad Dean, but now, oh boy, he looks like him even more!!

Can't leave these two out, they have become best buds! So glad we got him!!

New things....

Meet Blue Duck the bouncing horse! We borrowed this from Aunt Jamie, and Colt absolutely loves bouncing in it. Its like a Johnny Jump Up but is stationary so he can't bang himself into the door frame. It was sunny the day we took these pics.

Blue Duck is exhausting...
We also got a jeep walker. This was a christmas present that came really late since it was out of stock and the order was lost. But it's here and Colt also really enjoys this. He has learned how to press the buttons on the wheel, and it makes a bunch of different car sounds. He will look at BJ or I and have a HUGE grin, like "did you hear that? I did that!!"

We have really enjoyed watching him discover new things the past few weeks!!

Our newest addition Charlie

Our friends Billy and Aimee came across a basset hound that was up for adoption this weekend. They called us knowing we both really like basset's. I called the gal this morning and they were going to put Charlie down if no one took him by monday. He is a really young basset and I couldn't see a perfectly good dog being put down for no reason. So we took him!!!
Meet Charlie!!
Our newest addition!! He has fit in with Kola and Wally just fine so far. The three of them have been adventuring the heifer place all day today!

Movie night

Apparently BJ and I's choice of movies are ooh so boring for Mr. Colt... He made it through the previews talking with his dad and next thing we knew he was snoring up a storm!!

Scrappin'

This afternoon Colt went on his first tractor ride!! I don't think he had a clue what was going on, but he had a pretty proud dad explaining everything under the sun about the dairy/heifer place and what his future holds as the one next in line to run the show. BJ, Colt and I rode around most the afternoon scrapping and leveling all the MUD around here! We had a great time together!
Colts already a natural at driving!!

Can't leave her out... Oh thats right, shes ALWAYS out!!!
