Late nights...

Colts been really sick the past couple of days.... This pic was after his fever of 104 finally broke... He hadn't slept for six and half hours, he screamed the whole time, so he has to be exhausted. He has been asleep now for four hours. I should be taking advantage of this and lay down myself since its been three sleepless night for me, but the house isn't going to clean itself!!

The Olympics have been the highlight of our evenings the past few nights. I went to the grocery store for a few things and came home to this....

The newest discovery

Colt has now mastered grabbing his toys that hang from his baby einstein. He absolutely LOVES playing under it!!!He was trying really hard to figure out to get those tasty looking feet into his mouth. But instead he found that when pull down on the birds legs, they would vibrate. He would just laugh when they'd vibrate, it was cutest thing!

"Man Time"

Once BJ comes in from work this is how our evening unravels.... Dinner is served, dishes get done, bottles get washed and sterilized, baby gets bathed, books get read, and then Colt gets his last feeding... Colt gets his last burst of energy and BJ and Colt have "man time" and they catch up the day's events!!  This is one of my many favorite parts of the day!

3 Months- Oh my!

I cannot believe how fast these past 3 months have flown for us! It has been the best journey of our life! Colt is growing sooo fast, its incredible. He now weighs just under 14lbs, and is 24 inches long. He is learning and discovering new things everyday. His latest has been how to hold onto his toys that hang off of his baby einstein. He is quite the crack up to watch! He will hold on and shake them as hard as he can and thinks its by far the funniest thing. His laugh is absolutely adorable! He also really enjoys reading, bathing, watching baby einstein, hanging out with his dad, and of course his bottles. He is showing so much personality lately, its amazing. Since its been like spring here in the valley colt and I have been hitting the pavement pretty hard in his jeep stroller. We are up to ten miles a day now!! Well, the days that are about 40 degrees we go. Colts girlfriend arrived last week, Hadlee Hanson! She is absolutely beautiful, just like her mama! Can't wait for them to be a little older and start playing and interacting with each other!! I was really excited for Hadlee to come, if you couldn't tell already! We are just living each day at a time and enjoying every precious moment we have with each other! Couldn't ask for anything more!

those baby blues...

They get me every time!!! Tonight was the night I was absolutely determined Colt will sleep in his crib! But no, where is he sleeping? You guessed it, right next to me. Every time I lay him in his crib, he just gives me this look and all of my built up will-power flies out the window. During the day for naps I have absolutely no problem putting him in there. But, at night.... I just can't. My reasoning tonight is that Billy is gone playing cards with friends, and I hate, HATE, sleeping alone. Especially here, with trucks in and out at all hours of the night. Just freaks me out. So Walter, our dog, and Colt are helping me get through the night. I will try the crib again another night. I know he will do just fine... He sleeps like a champ!! From 8:30pm till usually 7:30am can't get much better than that! Its me that can't let go...  Soon, I will... Tonight just wasn't our night!!

Chatty Kathy

Can you strike up a conversation with this crazy looking bird? Or these very neat elephants?! My son sure can!! Today we went to the dairy for a visit and on our way home I discovered this bird in our back seat. I attached it to his car seat and he was absolutely in love! He talked to this silly bird from the moment it was attached till we were on our way up Rye-grass. Those are the best little noises I have ever heard. Once we got home I set him in his swing while I made him a bottle. It was like he found his long lost friends and he was trying to catch up with them all. He is such a happy little man. BJ has been gone all day today, he just got home around 8. Colt hadn't seen him since last night. His face absolutely lit up when he saw his daddy walk in. And, once again, he had so much to say!! BJ and Colt had their nightly "man-time" and caught up on the days excitement. It was a great day for all of us!
